A 0.013mm spot patch made in South Korea by Dr.Melaxin. It’s a micro-thin film, not a hydrocolloid dot, and it comes in two versions: Blemish Spot (S-ZINC) with sulfur, zinc PCA, salicylic acid and AHA + PHA for emerging spots, and Dark Spot (MELA-C·E) with vitamin C, E and ferulic acid for the marks a spot leaves behind. Each box holds 72 pre-cut 12mm patches.

Go by the stage the spot is at. If you can feel or see a spot coming up, choose Blemish Spot. If it has settled and left a red or dark mark behind, choose Dark Spot. Plenty of people keep a box of each and switch as the spot changes.

No. Hydrocolloid dots are thick sponges that absorb fluid from an open whitehead and turn white. This patch carries actives onto an early-stage spot and hides under makeup. If you have a fully formed whitehead, a hydrocolloid patch may suit it better.

The actives are sulfur, zinc PCA, salicylic acid, lactobionic acid (a PHA) and citric acid (an AHA), plus niacinamide, panthenol and soothing extracts including centella, tea tree, houttuynia, witch hazel, willow bark and propolis. No. There’s nothing to absorb into. It stays clear and matte, which is why makeup goes over it. Think of it as a very thin, active layer over the spot rather than a sponge.

72, each 12mm across. That’s a lot of spots. The 2-pack and 3-pack are cheaper per patch if you break out regularly.

Start with clean, dry skin before any skincare or makeup. Peel the green protective film backward, press the patch firmly onto the spot, then lift away the film printed with the logo. Because it’s so thin, it needs a completely clean surface to grip, so apply it before oils, serums or moisturizer.

Yes. Pat foundation or concealer over the patch rather than dragging a brush across it, keep the layers light, and set with a little powder. Up close it’s a small matte dot; at conversation distance most people can’t find it.

Through the day or overnight. Take it off when you cleanse and put a fresh one on if the spot still needs it.

Yes. Patch first on clean, dry skin, then apply your skincare around it. Avoid layering strong acids or retinoids directly on the patched spot, since the patch already carries salicylic acid and AHA + PHA.

Early-stage, emerging blemishes: the bump you can feel coming, the red spot that hasn’t come to a head. It isn’t designed for deep cystic acne or open, weeping spots.

It’s fragrance-free and made for daily wear, but it does contain sulfur and salicylic acid. Patch test on your inner arm first if you’re reactive, don’t apply to broken skin, and stop if you notice irritation.
